The homes we extend and renovate in Totton
Calmore was built in the early 1970s and Hounsdown was extended through the same decade, so a large part of Totton's housing is now fifty years old. These homes usually have solid bones and decent plots but dated layouts, small kitchens and original services. The projects we see most are a rear or wrap-around extension to create an open-plan kitchen-diner, and full renovations that replace wiring, plumbing, heating and finishes in one programme rather than piecemeal.
West Totton, developed through the 1980s and 90s towards Netley Marsh, is newer but often ready for a first proper refit: new kitchen and bathrooms, better insulation, and sometimes a garage conversion or single-storey extension. Around Eling and the older centre the stock is more varied and more sensitive, and matching brick, roof and window detail matters.
