We are a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 15056271), with registered office at New Forest Enterprise Centre, Chapel Lane, Totton, Southampton, SO40 9LA. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly.
If you have questions about this policy, please call us on 07746 711766 or get in touch via our enquiry form.
2. What Data We Collect
When you use our website or contact us, we may collect the following personal data:
- Contact information: your name, email address, and phone number
- Project details: information you provide about your renovation or building project, including property type, scope of work, and any other details you share via our enquiry form
- Usage data: information about how you use our website, including pages visited, time spent on pages, and navigation paths (collected via Google Analytics)
- Device information: browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and IP address (collected automatically)
3. How We Collect Your Data
We collect data through:
- Enquiry forms: when you submit your name, email, and project details through our contact or enquiry forms
- Direct communication: when you email or call us
- Google Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website. This uses cookies and similar technologies to collect anonymised usage data
- Cookies: small text files placed on your device to improve your browsing experience and help us analyse website traffic
4. How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data to:
- Respond to your enquiries and provide quotes for renovation work
- Communicate with you about your project
- Improve our website and services based on usage patterns
- Send you information about our services where you have given consent
- Comply with legal obligations
5. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your data under the following legal bases (UK GDPR):
- Consent: when you submit an enquiry form or accept cookies
- Legitimate interest: to improve our services and website, and to respond to enquiries
- Contractual necessity: to fulfil our obligations when you engage us for renovation work
6. Analytics and Tag Management
We use Google Tag Manager (GTM) to manage tracking scripts on our website. Google Tag Manager itself does not collect personal data; it is a container that loads other tools (currently only Google Analytics 4) when you give consent through our cookie banner.
We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised data about how visitors use our website, including pages visited, session duration, referral sources, and approximate geographic location based on IP address. This data helps us improve the website and understand which content is most useful. Google Analytics is processed by Google LLC under their privacy practices.
We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Meta’s Conversions API to measure the performance of our Facebook and Instagram advertising. When you accept cookies, the Pixel records page views and actions such as submitting an enquiry form or tapping our phone number, and may set a cookie (_fbp). Where you have provided details in our enquiry form, we may also send a hashed (irreversible) copy of your email address and phone number to Meta so it can match the enquiry to an ad, and to tag the enquiry as originating from Facebook. Meta Platforms Ireland Limited acts as our partner for this measurement.
We do not load Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager or the Meta Pixel, and we do not send any data to Meta, until you have accepted cookies via our cookie banner. If you reject or have not yet decided, no analytics or advertising tracking takes place.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics tracking on any website by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
7. Cookies
Our website uses the following types of cookies:
- Essential cookies: required for the website to function properly. These are always active and cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies: set by Google Analytics (loaded via Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors interact with our website. These only load if you accept them via our cookie banner.
- Advertising cookies: set by the Meta (Facebook) Pixel (e.g. _fbp) to measure our advertising and attribute enquiries to Facebook and Instagram ads. These only load if you accept them via our cookie banner.
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for purerenovationanddesign.com, which will re-trigger the cookie banner on your next visit. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share your data with:
- Google: through Google Analytics for website usage analysis
- Meta: through the Meta Pixel and Conversions API for advertising measurement (only after you accept cookies), including a hashed copy of enquiry contact details for ad matching
- Service providers: trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website and conducting our business, bound by confidentiality agreements
- Legal authorities: if required by law or to protect our rights
9. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected. Enquiry data is retained for up to 24 months after your last interaction with us. Google Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings (14 months by default).
10. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
